i walked up mt etna in my birkenstocks. i would not recommend this normally, only i had no other shoes. so up the mountain to everyone's surprize. you need quicktime 6 to watch these movies

PALERMO!

CELEBRATE! FULL MOON TONIGHT AND THE CITY IS HOPPING! lorenzo's friends all got together to celebrate his coming "home". we went to this part of town where they do not even pick up the garbage. like the ghetto. but there is a mautritious restaurant and you can have vegetarian version! the place didnt have enough to keep everyone around.

NAPOLI!

so we arrive at 14.30 and go looking for the train to pompei. we find out it is a wee little train that goes outside napoli. it is very very very hot and sunny and we are sweaty. at the pompei city we get out and walk all day endlessly around. the thing i have come to understand is that in 2000 years, not much has changed in the basis. near the theater and the stadium they had streets that were lined with "macdonalds"-style fast food plaices. very colorful! i just wanted to see the dead people...

PLANNING MY VACATION!

OK! so i have stopped doing castings and now i am planning to take 3 days off for my birthday and travel to places i never been before. my friend jazzy bought me a eurail ticket as a present and my friend illaria said she would go with me by train!!! we think we are going to go to sicily, so first i check cheap flights, and thought i would let you all know what i found for future reference (see below). but we are gonna go by train cuz i got this ticket. you see more by train anyway and i love to travel by eurostar. SO! SICILY IT IS! we leave tomorrow at 7am.

we will stop 1/2 day in napoli to go to pompei cuz i ALWAYS wanted to see the frozen people! we will then eat a real napoli pizza in the city, and then take the night train to sicily where we will meet up with illaria's friend lorenzo in trappany. after that anything is possible! i will keep you posted!

ROMA

THE SPANISH STEPS

hi everyone! so i am in roma now since two days
doing the castings for la alta moda (haught couture in rome).
i think 3 clients liked me yesterday. i hope so!

today someone told me that they will not do the spanish steps this year. that it is the first year they do not do them on the steps. what is that about? i came to walk the steps and now there are no steps? what a bummer! i have to find out if this is true. you need quicktime 6 to watch these movies

so accomodation seems to be a huge issue with the agencies for the girls.
why do there not exist any model flats here? we stay in hotels or at
piazza san marco itself, or near the central station. i am staying
near the central station. it's cool. i rented a bike down the block
to go on castings. there are lots of hills here!

where i stay near the central station, it's like living in the
east village in nyc! lots of young people, cool bars, and now
i have found this backpackers place where they have internet
cafe, printer, breakfast, and lots of americans my age travelling
through europe after their exams. very cool place. wish it were
all models! either way it's great to be on the net!

FIRST JOB TOMORROW

i am here only, what...2 working days and already i have a job tomorrow!

i been doing so many castings on my bike here in
milano you can not imagine! i come home and barely
have the energy to do yoga. every night i finish at 18.30 my castings.


i got invited to the DSQUARED show! it was SO AWESOME SHOW!
they made the stage like a HOUSE! with a real pool. i will
post the photos soon. then i got invited to the private party.
it was so beautiful and so much fun! such colorful people there.
this amazing woman with red hair!!! i danced all night thinking
i had no castings the next day and when i got home at 7am, my
agency called me at 9.30 with 8 castings.
then i got 2 more=total of 10 on the bike.
its so nice to ride your bike around in the wee
hours of the morning. feels like amsterdam...

i hope you are all having a good time wherever you are.
i am so happy to be modelling right now. i love my agency so much!
